Adeline LeDuc

Adeline LeDuc, 92, of Wausau passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

Adeline was born March 1, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late Arthur and Ella (Schade) Voigt. After graduating from Merrill High School she attended State College of Beauty Culture where she received her beautician's license on January 20, 1940. During her 50 year career Adeline worked at several Wausau area beauty salons before owning her own shop, Priscilla's Beauty Salon on South Third Ave. On December 1, 1945, Adeline married James LeDuc in Wausau. Together they enjoyed traveling the United States, abroad, but especially Up North to their cottage on Tug Lake. Adeline was known for her Apple Kuchen, Rhubarb cakes, jellies and gardening. She enjoyed knitting afghans and booties her specialty, crocheting, and once in a while taking a spin with her son Tom on his Harley. Adeline was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, LWML Ladies Guild, Disabled American Veterans' Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the German Club.

Survivors include her sons, Allen LeDuc, Thomas (Pamela) LeDuc, three grandchildren, Alysia (AJ) Seliger, Karrissa (Fiancé-Nathan Fitzke) LeDuc and Coleton (Kaci Kalbes) LeDuc, three great grandchildren, Levi, Ryder and Stetson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, one sister, Adelia Fenske and two brothers, Lloyd and Elroy Voigt.

On Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr., Wausau, visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with services at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Bruce Lamont will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aspirus, the Medical Nursing staff, and Hospice Home Care staff for the support, care and kindness they gave to Mom and our family.
