Adeline Mroczenski

November 29, 1923 — July 25, 2012

Adeline Mroczenski will be remembered for her kind smile and the love she had for her family. Adeline had a strong work ethic not only raising her six children with her husband, Frank, but also taking pride in gardening, canning, crocheting and working in the ginseng gardens.
Adeline was born November 29, 1923 in Marathon to the late Edward and Anna (Dalsky) Michlig. Adeline grew up in Marathon and at a local dance met Frank Mroczenski. They fell in love and were married on November 18, 1944 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marathon. They loved spending time and fishing at their cabin, which Frank and family built on Lake Alice. Adeline and Frank enjoyed polka dancing and traveling. Adeline retired in 1989 from Marathon Cheese where she was also known for serving coffee and donuts. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marathon and a volunteer for SHARE.
At the age of 88, Adeline passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane (Keith) Lemmer of Edgar, Carol (Howard) Dupuie of Lake Charles, LA, Sharon (Curly) Schumacker of Edgar, three sons, Duane "Butch" of Marathon, Dale (Yvonne) of Marathon, Kevin (Gail) of Edgar, fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and three sisters, Violet Pietrowski of Wausau, Lorraine Springer of Edgar and Marcie Ellenbecker of Wausau. Adeline was preceded in death by Frank on May 26, 2011, son-in-law, Stanley Schilling, two sisters, Evelyn Rabeneck and Vanie Lepak and her brother, Marvin Michlig.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Joe for his nursing home and hospital visits, the staff at Wausau Manor Rehabilitation Center, and the staff and chaplain at the Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the care and kindness they gave Adeline and our family.
