Agnes M. Gut, 90, Weston, died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Den Hollander) Marten, in the town of Easton. On August 31, 1941, she was united in marriage to Hartman Gut. Together they shared 43 years of marriage before his death in 1984.
Agnes will be remembered for her devotion to her family and caring for others. She enjoyed cooking and keeping a clean house. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau, where she was active in the Ladies’ Aid.
She is survived by her family, including her daughters, Lois (Charles) Schultz, Charlotte (Lorenz) Brietenfeldt, and Donna Falkowski, all of Wausau; grandchildren, Lynne, Mike, Matthew, Alan, Wayne, Connie, Rhonda, and Travis; great-grandchildren, Brett, Jenna, Eric, Ella, Connor, Karlen, Alexa, Trenton, Alayna, Cassie, Nathan, Ross, and Baby Falkowski; and sister-in-law, Nancy Marten, Ringle.
Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Kermit, Frank, Jr., Bill, Elmer, and Cornelius; and sisters, Meta Hansen, Esther Pilz, and Gladys Pilz.
A funeral service will be held at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Ted Gulhaugen, Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau, will officiate. Burial will follow at Forestville Cemetery, town of Easton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home.
