Alice Florence Fehlhaber, age 92, was called to rest by her Lord on March 19, 2016. Alice was born December 30, 1923 in Wausau WI to Edward and Florence (Bretzke) Fisher. She and her family moved to Marathon when she was 6. She attended grade school and graduated from Marathon High School in 1942. She worked part-time for Marathon Telephone Co. while going to high school.
Alice married Earl Fehlhaber on January 10, 1946 in New York, New York.
Alice attended Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1947.
Alice worked at J.C. Penney and Tempo Department Store until retiring in 1979.
After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, friends and relatives. She also enjoyed spending the winter months down South for about 15 years with her husband.
Survivors include her son, James (Sandra) Fehlhaber, The Villages, Florida, daughter, Shirley (William) Smith, Wausau, son, Gary (Debra) Fehlhaber, Medford, Wisconsin, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson, Daniel Fehlhaber and five sisters, Darlene Fisher, Phyllis Fisher, June Green, Carol Ziegel, and Bernice Brueggeman.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Our Savior's Evangelical, 703 Flieth St., Wausau, with Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
