Anita Krenz, 88, of Wausau, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at home under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Anita was born October 8, 1921 in Cologne, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Maria (Teidscheid) Ramus. She married Gilbert Krenz in Cologne on September 28, 1950. Anita and Gilbert were married for 52 wonderful years before his death on May 9, 2003.
Anita loved to cook authentic German dishes. She cooked for the electric company when they ran the lines down the road. She was a host on the German Hour Radio Show. Anita took great pride in the Krenz Park entertaining guests at weddings, parties and other events held there.
Anita is survived by four children; Doris (John) Nygaard of Duluth, MN, Ellen (Jack) Sanfelippo of Anthem, AZ., Wilfred (Linda) Krenz of Wausau and Charles (Amy) Krenz of Wausau; 11 Grandchildren; Matthew (Theresa) Christen of Frederick, WI., Nicholas Christen of Mackinac Island, MI., Aaron Christen of Minneapolis, MN., Paul (Sarah) Sanfelippo of West Allis, Adam Sanfelippo of Jefferson, WI., Christopher Sanfelippo of Wauwatosa, Bill Krenz of Anchorage, AK., Ben Krenz of Wausau, Bob Krenz of Waterloo, IA., Becky Krenz of Eau Claire, and Ashley (Gary Karau) Krenz of Merrill, one Great grandchild; Miah Christen of Frederick, WI., and one sister-in-law Norma Krenz.
Funeral services will be at Noon Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Ron Winter will be officiating. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery, town of Berlin.
