Anita Pasholk

Anita Mae Pasholk, 82, Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Hospice House under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Anita was born May 7, 1932 in Chippewa Falls to the late Benjamin and Norma (Rowland) Scheffler. She married Raymond E. Pasholk on June 30, 1951 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Wausau. Anita worked for the Vogue Dress Shop for 32 years before retiring.

Anita was a very caring and thoughtful woman who had a deep love of her family. She enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer. In the fall, Anita enjoyed seeing all of the children dressed up in their Halloween costumes. But it was Christmas time that brought her the greatest joy, when the family gathered together to decorate the home for the holiday. Anita was a very good cook and baker, but that never stopped her from enjoying going out to eat with family. In her free time, she loved to go dancing, bowl at Mountain Lanes, work on crossword puzzles and play solitaire. Some of her favorite getaways were to Wisconsin Dells to play miniature golf and ride the go carts and also going to the Milwaukee Zoo.

Anita is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond E. Pasholk, Sr.; son, Raymond Pasholk, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Ann Pasholk; grandson, Christopher Ziebell; great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Emery Ziebell; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Ziebell.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Monday, June 30 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Pastor Jeff Martinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
