Ann Holtz

Ann M. Holtz, 57, of Wausau, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at her home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born on September 18, 1955, in Wausau. Ann grew up in Wausau and was a life-long resident of the area. On June 12, 1976, she married Randall Holtz.
Ann's family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren. She liked being outdoors where she could go fishing, hunting, or work in her garden. She was proficient in crocheting and knitting, and would enter her projects in the fair annually. Ann also enjoyed bowling.
Ann is survived by her husband, Randall; children, Beth Murkowski and Heidi (Aaron) Guenther; grandchildren, Alecia, Randi, Trevor, Parks, Griffin, Tara, and Taylor; father, Ralph (Clarice) Kohnhorst; brothers, Michael (Pamala) Kohnhorst and John (Lorrene) Kohnhorst; step-sisters, Kay (Shawn) Wiskofske and Sue Roselius; step-brother, Kurt (Kate) Baumann; sister-in-law, Jane (Paul) Ebeling; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Monica) Holtz and Gregory (Carol) Holtz; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois (Steiner) Kohnhorst; grandson, Bennett, and four-legged friend, Lexus.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 930 Edgewood Road, Wausau, with Rev. Nancy Johnson Russell officiating. Family and friends may call on Sunday, July 28, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and again at the church on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas.
