Ann Moser, 89, Wausau, died Saturday, November 06, 2010 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Ann Miller was born April 14, 1921 in the Town of Norrie to the late William and Clara (Ludwig) Miller. She graduated Birnamwood High School in 1939. Ann met George Moser in 1945 while he was on leave during WWII and the couple was united in marriage at St. Paula(TM)s Lutheran Church in Birnamwood on June 22, 1946. They were blessed with the additions of their daughter, Elsiena and son, Robert. Ann was a wonderful mother and also helped George on the farm. The couple celebrated 64 loving years together this past June.
Throughout her life, Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Often times when the grandchildren were visiting, she became a kid herself and enjoyed playing with them. Over the years, Ann and George seldom stayed in one place for too long, moving on average every three years. Ann was a very active life member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) Auxiliary in Wausau and served as their commander for a term of two years. In her free time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery and watching soap operas, especially "As The World Turns". Aside from her family whom she dearly loved, Ann also had a very special place in her heart for Siamese cat, Smokey.
Ann is survived by her husband, George of Wausau; children, Elsiena (Allen) Hornung of Weston and Robert (Mary Jo) Moser of Wausau; 6 grandchildren, Christina (Robert) Sayegh, Tammy (Matt) Duwe, Jennifer (Ron) Corazalla, Randall Hornung, Bobbie Jo Moser and Andrew Moser; 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Tanner, and Chloe; sister, Iona (Lloyd) Steckbaurer of Aniwa; sister-in-law, Florence Miller of Shawano; and many more extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara (Ludwig) Miller and brother, Norbert Miller.
