Ann Siewert, 94 passed away peacefully on Oct 14 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following a brief illness. Ann was born January 10, 1922 in Wausau to the late Bernice and John Kasten. She married John Siewert in Wausau on April 24, 1943. Together, they enjoyed 53 years of marriage, finding joy in simple things like spending time together and creating special memories with their grandchildren.
Ann worked for the Wausau School District for nearly 30 years, first at the original Horace Mann Middle School in downtown Wausau, and later at Riverview Elementary in Wausau. She took great pride in her work and went the extra mile in all she did. She enjoyed her coworkers, and the many great teachers in both schools.
An avid Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers fan, Ann enjoyed watching football and spending time with family. She had a kind, gentle and generous spirit and always had a smile to share.
She is survived by her son Gary (Diane) Siewert, two grandchildren, Lisa (Mark) Rasmussen, Dr. Jason (Lisa) Siewert, Two Great Grandchildren; Ryan Rasmussen and Violet Siewert, a sister Regina (Archie) Schnelle, Sister in Law Joyce Siewert, all of Wausau, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.
