Anna Mary Wilk was born April 22, 1921 in the Town of Norrie to the late Walter and Veronica (Drozdowski) Wilk. She married Arvin Sieg April 22, 1942 and the happy couple welcomed three daughters into their family; Marjorie, Joyce and Elaine. Anna and Arvin loved to go fishing and camping throughout their lives together. Arvin and Anna celebrated 51 loving years together prior to his death, July 24, 1993.
Anna was always a very independent, hard working woman. She worked as a waitress for many years at the Log Cabin restaurant, even joking that as the business changed owners, she came with the building. At home, Anna loved spending time in her garden, canning what she grew and cooking. She always made sure that if someone visited that they left with a full stomach. In her free time, Anna enjoyed making many different crafts; especially knitting and crocheting. Anna Sieg, 89, Schofield, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, Weston.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Boggs, Wausau, Joyce (Wallace) Grulkowski, Ringle, and Elaine (Robert) Specht, Two Rivers; 8 grandchildren, Brenda (Steve) Trapp, Debra (Bob Heise) Boggs, Lori (Joseph) Kucirek, Kip (Monika) Grulkowski, Brian (Kristy) Grulkowski, Michelle (Michael) Hudson, Paul and Kari Ann Specht; 6 great-grandchildren, Jessica (Scott Kleinschmidt) Boggs, Cody Grulkowski, Aleksandria Grulkowski, Rene Hudson, Alaina Hudson and Erin Hudson; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Stanley, Nash and Charlie Kleinschmidt; 3 sisters, Martha Korntved, Florence (Edward) Tryba and Adeline (Joseph) Tryba; friends and neighbors, John and Agnes Wanta; and many more extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Sophie Braun, Mary Polly, Joseph Wilk, John Wilk, Anton Wilk, Andrew Wilk, Stanley Wilk, Michaline Laminski and Frank Wilk.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Parish. Father Charles Hiebl will be officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM to noon.
