Annabell "Ann" Viergutz of Wausau passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
Ann was born February 11, 1919 in Ponitowski to the late George and Susan (Rauen) Reichl. She married Clarence "Bud" Viergutz on August 10, 1940 and they spent 51 years together before his passing in 1991.
Ann was proud to be a charter member of St. Anne's Parish. She enjoyed polka music, playing Sheephead, pokeno and bingo during her stay at Benedictine Manor.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Nitzsche and her daughter, Heidi (Mike) Lowe, Judy Savage and her children, Christa (Joe) Savage-Gore and Jared (Mary) Savage, Dianne "Marty" (George Wiedeman) Nehls and her son Cory (Tracey) Nehls. Great-grandchildren, Torin Lowe and Thomas Lowe, Tyler Gore and Connor Gore, Madison Savage and Mason Savage, Shelby Nehls and Lindsay Nehls. Two sisters, Genevieve Behrendt and Sister Mary Thomas.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Bud" Viergutz; sons-in-law, Richard Nitzsche and Perry Savage; and her siblings, Regina Wozniak, Leona Sloan, Laura Koepp, Marion Fenhaus, Alvin Reichl and George Reichl.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend Matthew Marshall will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
