Annette “Netsy” Helen Natal, 77, Wausau, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Netsy was born August 26, 1940 in Wausau to the late Alvin and Evelyn (Johnson) Marquardt. She was the 1957 Homecoming Queen for Wausau East and graduated from there in 1958 after consistently being on the honor role. Netsy married her long time love, Gary Lee Natal on August 16, 1960 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. The couple was blessed with two daughters: Gina and Julie.
Netsy was a woman devoted to her God and her family. Her strong faith strengthened her throughout her life and she warmly shared her faith with those around her. Netsy worked outside the home a little, but she was delighted to be a mother to her daughters and grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays with family and friends, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles and collecting hummingbirds. Netsy especially enjoyed fly fishing, woodworking and jewelry making.
Netsy is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Gary; daughters, Gina (Dwayne) Maroszek of Wausau and Julie (Rick) Kirst of Buckeye, Arizona; grandchildren, Christopher, Cassidy, Garret and Logan; sisters, Carol Plautz of Fond du Lac and Susan Schindler of Wausau; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Doris Gappa.
The funeral service of Netsy will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. David Wetmore and Rev. Rick Kelm will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
