Arlane R. McNabb, 86, Wausau, died Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born March 26, 1924, in Wausau, WI, the daughter of the late Frank and Millie (Herman) Richmond. On February 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Donald D. McNabb.
Arlane was a mom and grandma to everyone she knew. She showed how much she cared by always welcoming family and friends into her home, sharing her talents of cooking and baking. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. A lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, she participated in the choir for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie McNabb, Wausau; son-of-the-heart, Robin Brietzman, Stoughton; 5 special-grandchildren-of-the-heart, Megan, Davis, Jarred, Kayln, and ‘her boy’, Daniel; many nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on December 12, 1991; son, Larry; and 3 brothers.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, Wausau. The Reverend Gerald Morris will officiate. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday, August 23, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau; and again Tuesday, at the church, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
