Arleen Ann Parker, 95, Wausau, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Arleen was born June 10, 1916 in Camp Douglas to the late John and Myrtle (Stafford) Parker. She was a graduate of Wausau High School. Arleen worked for both Marathon Electric and later Marathon Battery for a number of years. She joined Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1958 and was a faithful member for the rest of her life.
Arleen had a servant's heart and was always kind and friendly. She was always very warm and quickly became friends with others. Her wonderful sense of humor served her well and she lived her faith. Arleen's humble nature would sometimes let her forget that she touched many people's lives and enriched others with her light.
Arleen is survived by her sister-in-law, Marion Parker of North Brook, IL; and dear friends, Charles and Jeanette Delany of Green Bay and their family and Marjorie and Nathan Jones of Long Beach, CA and their family. She is also blessed to be survived by many close and wonderful friends. Arleen was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Parker; her beloved twin sister, Maxine White; and her dear friend, Mabel Delany.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Sean Motley will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and last until the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park. You may sign our family guest book at www.helke.com.
