Arlet Schield

Arlet Meuret Schield, a native and lifetime resident of Wausau, passed away at the Highlands at New Castle in Mequon, WI on June 9 at the age of 91. She was the wife of the late Harry A. Schield and the mother of the late Linda Schield Babl.
She is survived by a brother, Henry (Diane) Meuret of Loveland, CO; and three daughters: Susan (David) Ingerson of Portland, OR; Phyllis (David) Euley of Scottsdale, AZ; and Kathleen (Thomas) Mesalk of Cedarburg, WI. She is also survived by three granddaughters: Stacey (Brad) Abraham of West Allis, WI; Deanna Mesalk of Madison, WI; and Andrea Mesalk of Milwaukee, WI; two grandsons: Nicolas Babl of Wausau and Gregory Babl of Longmont, CO; and one great-granddaughter, Ayla Abraham of West Allis, WI. Other survivors include one son-in-law, Aaron Babl of Longmont, CO, husband of the late Linda Schield Babl, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2008 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Paulette Creswell will be officiating. Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and resuming one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Arlet's name.
