Audrey Ruechel

A lifelong resident of Wausau, Audrey was born February 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Ervin and Evelyn (Schubring) Sann. On September 22, 1956, she was united in marriage to Berden Ruechel. Together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Audrey was a clerical worker for the city of Wausau, in the Public Works Department.

In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, needlework, reading, and traveling. Audrey and Berden were members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wausau.

At the age of 75, Audrey Adella Ruechel, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, under Palliative Care at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, with her husband by her side.

She will be missed by her loving husband, Berden Ruechel, Wausau; son, Ronald Ruechel and his friend, Louise Borchardt, Wausau; and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, LeRoy Sann.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wausau. Family will receive guests from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
