Audrey Mae Ziegel, 87, of Wausau, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Mount View Care Center in Wausau.

Audrey was born May 20, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara (Wussow) Dahm. She received her education in the Town of Wien and on April 20, 1949 was united in marriage to Harry Ziegel. They made their home in Wausau where Audrey was employed at the Marathon County Dormitory, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Club and Royal Neighbors.

Audrey is survived by a daughter Judy (Gary) Podjaski, Schofield and a son Lyle (Patty) Ziegel, Wausau, four grandchildren, Rebecca (Randy) Duranceau, Baraboo, WI, Anthony (Jennifer) Podjaski, Marathon, Tracy (Mark) Fenske, Portland, OR, Leslie (Ryan Mayer) Ziegel, Wausau, great grandchildren, Jeremy and Katelyn Duranceau, Allison and Harvey Podjaski, Kayden, Declan and Priscilla Mayer, step great granddaughter Stacy Duranceau and a step great great grandson Connor Felix, a sister Beatrice (Frank) Nerad, Menominee Falls, WI, four nephews and one niece.

Funeral services will be noon, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
