Beatrice Kramer

Beatrice M. (Penn) Kramer, 92, of Wausau, died peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at North Central Heath Care – Gardenside Crossing. She was born to Hugo and Emielia (Achterberg) Penn on February 2, 1921, in Hamburg, Wisconsin. She grew up on the farm in Hamburg and helped with the chores as well as cooking and taking care of the hired help. She married Wilbur L. Kramer on June 4, 1941, in Wausau. After they were married they moved to Milwaukee and Beatrice worked for Johnson Service Heating and Control for several years.
Beatrice was a homemaker that loved and took care of her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking rides in the country, and animals.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Barbara (Donald) Kienast of Omro, WI, grandchildren, Amy Marie Kienast of Bellville, MI, and Jennifer (John) Yost of Omro, WI, and great-grandchildren, Alexander and Ian Yost; Jacqueline (Gordon) Allison of Theresa, WI, grandchildren, Scott Collier, Debra Collier, Robin (Jeff) Leitner of Waupun, WI, and Gordon Allison, Jr.; and Patricia Kramer of Wausau; grandson, Brian Kramer of Wausau; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is further survived by brother, Robert (Kathy) Penn of Iron Mountain, MI; sisters, Angeline Baneck of Ripon, WI, and Bonnie Dalum of Wausau; and sisters-in-law, LaNette Penn of Hales Corners, WI, and Phyllis (Tom) Henry of Wausau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; first husband, Lawrence Duckow; parents, Hugo and Emielia; sister, Lorna Thiel; brothers, Virgil Penn and Hugo Penn, Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Baneck, Eldred Thiel, and Richard Dalum.
Visitation will be at Restlawn Memorial Chapel, 4710 N. Troy St., on Monday, July 15, 2013, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Committal prayers will be at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel followed by burial in Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas.
