Beatrice Marth

Beatrice J. Schoelzel was born September 15, 1931 in Colby to Rudolph and Olivia (Gutenberger) Schoelzel. She was primarily a homemaker throughout her life. Bea married James Marth on February 10, 1989 at First English Lutheran Church, Wausau and the couple celebrated 21 loving years together. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Bea died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.


Bea is survived by her husband, James; children; Jody (Ben) Bessert, Dave (Terry) Christianson, and Peggy (Daniel Meares) Christianson; 3 Grandchildren; brothers, Rudy (Kathy) Schoelzel, Jerold (Joan) Schoelzel, Darnell (Janice) Schoelzel, Ronald Schoelzel, Glen (Ramona) Schoelzel, Jim (Bonnie) Schoelzel and Dennis (Edith) Schoelzel; sisters, Darlene (Ed) Wachtendonk, Ione Pipkorn, Emerita Phillips, Audris Goetz, Sandy (Jim) Hudak, Connie (Duane) Stine and Korliss Uhling; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Christianson in 1977; brothers, DuWayne, Arlyn and Lyle; and sisters, Doris and Patsy.


Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 26, 2010 at First English Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Sarah Nehring will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home and conclude at 8:00 PM with the visitation resuming at 10:00 AM on Friday at the church.
