Beth Moss, 84, completed her chapter of a well written book on February 1, 2024 with her family by her side.
Beth was born at home in Aniwa, WI on June 24, 1939, the daughter of William and Orma (Gunderson) Little.
Beth graduated from Wausau High and went on to the Langlade County Teachers College. Following graduation, she taught in Crandon for a couple of years.
She married Donald Moss on March 25, 1961 in Antigo, WI. They had two children Gwen and William. Eventually settling in Wausau, WI, Beth worked for many years at Gardner Bakery and ultimately retired in 1999.
After retiring, Beth devoted many years of her life to serving others through her volunteer work at First United Methodist Church. Her generosity touched the lives of many, and she became an integral part of the church community.
Beth found solace and joy in her creative pursuits, particularly through cross-stitch. She shared her creations including many pillow cases and kitchen towels with her family and friends. Beth had a love of reading and appreciated sharing a good book with family or friends. She enjoyed planting flowers that surrounded her home every summer. Beth also looked forward to the excitement and fellowship of bingo weekly at the VFW.
One of Beth's most cherished traditions was the time spent with her sisters on their yearly sister’s weekend. These moments of shared laughter, love, and sisterhood created bonds that stood as a testament to the importance of family in her life.
Above all, Beth treasured her role as a grandmother. Her three grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and the time spent with them brought immense joy. Recently, her great-granddaughter Lucy became the light of her life, filling her days with love, laughter, and the purest form of happiness.
Beth is survived by her two children, Gwen (Fawn George) Moss of Appleton, William (Sandy) Moss of Wausau; her three grandchildren Tarissa (Liz Baldinger) Moss of Austin, TX, Benjamin Moss of Los Angeles, CA, Jacquelyn (Alex) Schremp of Kronenwetter; and her precious great granddaughter Lucy Schremp. She is also survived by her sisters Sally (Jack) Schleinz, Sharon (Tom) Kienbaum, Elaine Dalbec; sister-in-law Sandy Little; brother-in-law Donald “Toby” Tobias and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beth is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Moss; her parents William and Orma Little; her siblings Lyle (Amaryllis) Hintz, Wes Little, Nancy Tobias and Sue Steinke; and her dear aunt Vivian Thompson.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10th at First United Methodist Church, 903 North 3rd Street, Wausau, WI. (Please enter using the Worship entrance on Fulton St.) Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Prayer service to follow with Pastor Rebecca Voss officiating.
