Betty Belongia

Betty J. Belongia, 84, formerly of Wausau, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Park View Nursing Home in Green Bay. She was born on May 9, 1926 to the late Hartwell and Ettabell (Poppe) Jorstad in Withee, WI.

She is survived by three children, Carol Jean Wagner of Green Bay, Garlen "Butch" (Jean) Wagner of Green Bay, and Gary (Pam) Belongia of Ishpeming, Michigan; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her husbands, Gordon Belongia and Leonard Wagner; brothers and sisters, Floyd Hartwell, Jr., Gerald Jorstad, Vernon Jorstad, Hartwell "Bud" Jorstad, Jr., Mae Borchardt, Milson Hamm, and Sylvia Johnson.

Funeral services will be at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joy Nelson-Jeffers officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. You may sign the family guestbook at helke.com.
