Beverly Elaine Babler, 84, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Benedictine Living Center, Wausau.
Beverly was born August 10, 1932 in Appleton to the late Fred and Hilda (Loos) Knaack. Following graduation from high school, she worked as a receptionist until she met and married the love of her life, Marvin Babler. The couple was united in marriage on March 29, 1952 in Appleton. They welcomed three children; Bob, Barb and Bill. The couple celebrated 64 loving years together.
The one thing in life that Beverly loved most was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who delighted in any time spent with her family. She enjoyed many family trips throughout the U.S. and Canada and especially time spent at the cottage. She also had a great fondness for sweets, especially chocolate, and a meal wasn't complete without dessert. Until recently, New Year's Eve was a party at Grandma's home with her hosting. Beverly loved her family. She also had a special love for the dogs that were a part of her life.
Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin; children, Bob (Linda) Babler, Barb (Tom) Goetsch both of Wausau and Bill (Susan) Babler of Mason City, IA; grandchildren, Kelly (Neil) Heckendorf, Allison (Sam) Williams, Matt (Beth) Goetsch, Sarah (Jared) Cass, Katie (Matt) Teresinski, Carrie Goetsch, Mandy Goetsch, Abbie (Jose) Sura and Ben Babler; 9 great-grandchildren with a 10th due in December; sister-in-law, Sue Knaack; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Joey; and brother, Bruce Knaack.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
