Carrie Lee Nordgren, a beloved member of the Mosinee community, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 25, 1954, in Wausau, WI, Carrie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother "Grammie", sister, aunt and friend known for her warm heart and caring nature. 

 Carrie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from camping trips and cruises to quiet moments with her husband Daniel. Her love for spending time with friends whether it be with her book club, Friday night fish fries or popcorn by the fire with the neighbors, she was always the life of the party. Carrie enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens that bloomed year after year. Her passion for baking and canning with her sister Beth and niece Katie brought smiles to many faces, showcasing her talent and generosity in the kitchen. A lover of nature, she found solace in fall walks and sunsets, savoring every moment. Most of all Carrie loved spending time with her Family. 

 Carrie was so proud to be a grandmother to her precious granddaughters, Emma and Ava. She was affectionately known by them and many others as “Grammie”. Carrie never missed an event, back-to-school shopping or simply any opportunity to spend time with her girls. 

 One of Carrie’s favorite annual traditions was the shopping weekend that she spent with her daughter Heather. From hours of shopping to preparing favorite homemade meals, the time they shared together and memories made were priceless. 

 Carrie spent many years serving others working in customer service. After retirement she passionately served as a Chief Inspector for the Town of Mosinee elections. Carrie’s kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on all those she encountered. 

 Carrie is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel Nordgren, with whom she shared decades of cherished memories and love. Together, they savored moments with family and friends, finding happiness in each other's company. She was also survived by: (4) children: Heather (Mark) Strassburg, Kevin (Joleen) Newman, John Nordgren and Matt Nordgren. (2) Grandchildren: Emma (Blake Davies) Strassburg, Ava (Ben Smestad) Strassburg. (2) Siblings: Timothy (Carol Katzer) Rasmussen, Beth (Dan) Porter. Mother-in-law: Mary Nordgren and many other relatives and friends. 

 Carrie was preceded in death by her parents. Clarence and LaVora Rasmussen. (2) Siblings: Todd Rasmussen and Thomas Rasmussen. Father-in-law: David Nordgren and many other family members. 

 A visitation to celebrate Carrie’s life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (150202 County Road NN, Wausau, WI 54401) at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm at the Church. 

 As we come together to celebrate Carrie’s life, let us remember her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with those around her. She will forever be remembered for her gentle soul and the joy she brought to all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
