Clayton "Tony" R. Bessette, 73, Wausau, died Tuesday May 8, 2012, at St Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, WI. after a short courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Appleton, WI on November 15, 1938, to the late George and Bessie (Werner) Bessette. Tony graduated High School and completed two years of College, before entering and serving his country in the U.S. Air Force in 1957. After his time in the service, he married his first wife Janice Zeinert, and they had six children. Later he married Dorothy (Koy), they were married on December 16, 1995, in Wausau, WI, and remained happily married until his time of death.
A man described by his family as being polite, kind, loving, and patient. He was a man of integrity, and a hard worker. He enjoyed working, and it was always in him to do the best, no matter what the job. He was employed by a few lumber yards in sales, either as a salesman, or management. In his free time he liked doing crossword puzzles and fishing. Being a patient man, he taught all of his kids to Trout fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially doing things he enjoyed. In college he played for his basketball team, and also played baseball and softball until he was unable to do so anymore, but continued to "root" on his favorite teams when watching them.
