Corrine Pomeroy

Corrine H. Pomeroy, 80, of Wausau, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Kindred Colonial Manor in Wausau.

Corrine was born July 17, 1933, in Appleton, WI, the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Hilda (Henricks) Bergmann. She received her education in Cudahy, WI where Corrine graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Ast and they later divorced.

While raising their three children Dan, Pam and Debra she worked at Pranges Department Store and later Shopko, where she retired. On October 30, 1996, she married Robert Pomeroy in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in Florida and Vermont. After Robert passed away in 2012, Corrine moved back to Wausau to be closer to family.

Corrine enjoyed socializing with family and friends, working in her garden and traveling.

Survivors include, one son Daniel (Sue) Ast, two daughters, Pam Fitzke and Debra (Wayne Dennison) Baptist all of Wausau, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother Vernon Bergman of Florida and one sister, Dawn Detert of Marshfield, WI. She was preceded in death by, eight brothers, Alden, Willis, Milton, Loren, Robert, Merrill, Raymond and Gerald, two sisters, Fern Wardius and Janet Masnica.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 3:00 PM at the Helke Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM.

A memorial fund is being established and may be directed to the family.
