Daniel Stetzer

Daniel Stetzer will be remembered as a man of God, a supportive, faithful and loving husband. He was a very caring and giving father, a proud and fun grandpa and nurturing brother. Dan was a kind and generous man who accomplished much and befriended many. He left his handprint on many hearts and gave life to others through organ donation.
He was born August 18, 1953 in LaCrosse to the late Allan and Della (Ray) Stetzer. On July 31, 1981, Dan married Wendy (Lilyquist) Hanson in Black River Falls. Dan worked in contractor sales with Menards.
At the age of 58, Dan passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy of Weston, one daughter, Kirstin (Kevin) Drexler of Wausau and their children Gwendolyn and Elijah, two sons, Travis (Lisa) Hanson of Appleton and their children Ramsey and Sydney, Trent (Melissa) Hanson of Minneapolis and their son Landon, three brothers, David (Tatayana) Stetzer of Taylor, Douglas (Kathy) Stetzer of Superior, Darrell (Sue) Stetzer of Ringle, two sisters, Linda Hayle of Nevis, MN, Juanita (Mark) Ziolkowski of Green Bay and mother-in-law, LaDonna Lilyquist of Weston. Dan was further preceded in death by his father-in-law, Eugene Lilyquist, brother-in-law, Don Hayle, sister-in-law, Rhonda Lilyquist, and nephew, Erik Lilyquist.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Highland Community Church, Weston Campus located at the corner of Hwy. J and Schofield Ave. Reverend Ken Moberg will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
