David Marzynski

David T. Marzynski, 90, Wausau, died November 22, 2014 at Mount View Care Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

David was born to the late John Sr. and Sophia (Joswiak) Marzynski in Cassel, WI on January 30, 1924. He faithfully served his country during WWII in the United States Navy-Airforce. He was united in marriage to Anita Hall on June 17, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon. David worked as a machinist supervisor retiring from American Can and James River Corp. after 43 years. Upon his retirement, he devoted many years to building homes with Habitat for Humanity.

David was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. For the past 25 years, he would go to the Y for his daily swim. He was a member of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10 and the Knights of Columbus Council 1069. In April of 2013, David was honored to go on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anita; children, Kathleen Marzynski of Milwaukee, Janice (Jeff) Adams of Hatley and Paul Marzynski of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Jessy Adams and Nate Adams; brother, Joe (Sharon) Marzynski; sister, Florence Jezorski; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lynda; son, Peter; brother, Dominic; half siblings, Clara, Anna, John Jr., Stanley, Ray, Leo and Valentine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2 at 12:00 PM at St. Anne Parish, Wausau. Fr. Matthew Marshall will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the church. A committal service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with military honors rendered by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10.
