David Pittsley

June 7, 1924 — September 19, 2012

David will be remembered as a good man. He was a good husband and brother; and especially will be remembered for being a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He was born June 7th 1924, the son of the late Vernon and Emma (Gaetzmann) Pittsley, in Wausau. He served in the Army during World War II and after the war, dedicated his life and career to working in the military. He served as a military policeman and optician at an Army medical center.

On July 24th 1952, he was united in marriage to Mary in Wuenburg, Baviaria. Together they shared 60 years of marriage, enjoying their family and building a home together. David took pride in his keeping his lawn and gardens just right; and he always made the time to feed bread to the many squirrels and birds welcome in his yard.

On September 19th 2012, David Arthur Pittsley died under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, at Schofield Assisted Living, with his family by his side. He was 88 years old.
