David R. Polley, 67, of Wausau, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Wausau Manor.
He was born on March 20, 1950, to the late Otto and Mary (Wilk) Polley in the town of Hewitt. David was a lifelong resident of the Wausau area, attending school at Horace Mann and graduating from Wausau East High School. He worked as a mechanic at his transmission shop on Third Avenue in Wausau and later as an electrician. He enjoyed time outside, especially trout fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his brothers, Clarence Polley, George (Beverly) Polley, and Donald Polley; sister, Geraldine (Ralph) Guillaume; sisters-in-law, Elaine Polley, Dorothy Polley, and Joyce Lunkos; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mary; brothers, John, Edward, and Henry Polley; sister, Mary Ann Polley; step-brother, Wallace Polley; sister-in-law, Norma Polley; and nephews, George Jr. and Jody.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Union Cemetery, 530 Lynn St., Tigerton, with Rev. Ted Gulhaugen officiating.
