Dennis Seehafer, Sr

Dennis L. Seehafer, Sr., 78, Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Mt. View Care Center, Wausau.
He was born in Rib Falls on July 24, 1933, to the late Arthur and Della (Heise) Seehafer. Dennis married Kathleen Wethern on February 27, 1953; they were happily married for almost 53 years until her time of death in 2005. Dennis was an outdoorsman, he liked to fish, hunt, and trap various species of animals. Dennis also enjoyed always having a dog around. In the late 1980's, Dennis and one of his sons, bought North American Propeller. Together they owned and operated it until his health wouldn't allow Dennis to do so anymore. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau.
Dennis will be sadly missed by his five daughters, Joanne Hrobsky, Fort Atkinson, WI, Faye Seehafer, Baltimore, MD, Susette (Cliff) Heiser, Green Bay, Vicky (Rick) Cambell, Wausau, and Sharon (Paul) Komro, Sun Prairie, WI; one son, Mark (Lori) Seehafer, Schofield; two sisters, Evangeline Baumann, Wausau, and Eleanor Schlei, Loveland, CO; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; parents; and one son, Dennis Seehafer, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 22nd at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Pastor Ted Gulhaugen will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home. You may sign our family guestbook at helke.com.
