Diane Fischer will be remembered for the love and care she had for her family. They always came first with Diane being Geoffrey, Amanda and Lucas as well as her husband's biggest fan.
Diane was born January 9, 1962 in Milaca, Minnesota to Carol (Hauschild) Harms of Foley, MN and the late Don Harms. She was a graduate of Milaca High School and continued her education at Crown College, St. Bonifacious, MN with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Early Childhood Education and Parent Education. On August 28, 1993, Diane married Mike Fischer at New Hope Church in New Hope, MN. They moved to Wausau in 2009 with Mike as Worship Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church and in recent years, Diane teaching at Faith Christian Academy, Wausau. Diane was an active member of their church. She was involved in the church choir, worship team and tech team. She had a beautiful voice and passed that on to her children. Diane enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and taking care of her beagle, Duke. She loved videotaping the kid's concerts as well as supporting the music department at Faith Christian Academy and the band at Wausau West High School.
At the age of 54, Diane was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 after battling cancer. She passed away at home surrounded by her family .
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Mike and three children, Geoffrey, Amanda and Lucas all of Rib Mountain, one brother, David (Barb) Harms of St. Cloud, MN and one sister, Darla (Ray) Olson of Foley, MN.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 5100 Hummingbird Rd., Rib Mountain. Pastor Rob Love will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
