Diane Lorbiecki

Diane Lynn Lorbiecki, 58, Wausau, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at her home.

Diane was born February 4, 1951 in Wausau to Harold and Mildred (Reinke) Thiel. She grew up in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School. Diane was united in marriage to Larry Lee Lorbiecki on July 26, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The happy couple welcomed two sons, Jason and Scott, to the family. Diane worked for Guaranty Title Services for over 35 years always excelling at her service and dedication to her clients.

Many words can be used to describe Diane, but perhaps the best is selfless. She always thought of others first and herself second, never complaining or whining. Diane was a dedicated mother to her sons, and a second mother to many of their friends. She had a very strong work ethic, but also Diane knew how to have a good time and enjoyed spending time with people. In her free time Diane liked to read and work in her garden. Her favorite times were spending time with her family, camping and especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Larry; sons, Jason (Michelle) of Merrill and Scott (Niki) of Wausau; grandchildren, Skylar, Ty, Tanner, and Zaria; parents, Harold and Mildred Thiel of Wausau; siblings, Gary (Tracy) Thiel, Joyce (Ed) Lunkos, Sharon (Gene) Bartelt and Russell Thiel; her buddy, Penny Windorski; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend David Wetmore will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM and last until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and resume one hour prior to the funeral at Christ Lutheran on Saturday.
