Diane Jean Merce, 71, Schofield, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Diane was born January 5, 1944 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Orville "Buck" and Harriet (Hipschman) Leverton. She is a 1962 graduate of Wausau High School. Diane loved to cook and bake, often making wonderful meals and baked goodies for her family. Early in her life, she was active in the Wausau Community Theater, having had the lead role in several productions. Free time often found Diane sitting in the sun reading, working on crafts, or working in her garden with Bill. She also had a great love of animals.
