Dolores Borchardt, 92, of Wausau passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Mt. View Care Center.
She was born June 13, 1917 in Marshfield to the late Louis and Frances (Langhoff) Wilde. On June 19, 1937, Dolores married George Borchardt in Wausau. Dolores and George did everything together. They enjoyed their cottage on 7 Island, fishing, dancing, and traveling. Dolores loved tending her garden, canning, and cooking for George. She was a great animal lover especially taking care of her cats. In her earlier years, Dolores had worked at Pahlow’s Gifts in Wausau.
Survivors include her special niece and husband, Beverly and Frank Bloom and their family, Stacey,KC, Ashton, and Kash Dreiling all of Wausau, Angela Bloom of Minocqua, and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by George on June 20, 2001, her brother, Elsmore Wilde and her sister, Gertrude (Warren) Nutter.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend James Klug of St. John’s Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be today from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
