It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dolores E. Tritten (Husband Herbert, deceased) on Wednesday, July 16 at Aspirus Hospital after a short stay.
Dolores was born in Rib Falls on January 20, 1923 to the late Robert and Caroline (Baseman) Nagel. She married Herbert Tritten on Valentine's Day in 1941, and after a few years farming, they moved to Wausau into the house that her husband built, where she became a homemaker. Dolores loved her garden, baked the best pies, could dance a mean polka, and played cards with the best of them. She was feisty and always had a smile and a hug for everyone.
Dolores is survived by her immediate family: daughter, Ruth Mader of Dallas, TX; son, Herbert (Ruth) Tritten Jr.; grandson, Jay (Patty) Mader of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Kristine (Steve) Marcus of Dallas, TX; four beautiful great-granddaughters, Alexa, Brianna, Dani, and Rebecca, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, continuing on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Services will be Tuesday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Reverend Bruce Lamont officiating. There will be a private burial at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later time. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
The family wishes to thank the "angels" in her neighborhood who, for the past years, kept loving eyes on her, and Dr. Daljeet Rishi and his helpful staff in Palliative Care at Aspirus Hospital.
