Donald Baumann

Donald G. Baumann, 93, of Wausau passed away at his home on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born October 4, 1917 in Wausau to the late John and Lana (Raduechel) Baumann Sr. After graduating from Wausau Senior High School, Don served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Returning home, he began working for the City of Wausau's street department in 1946. After 31 years of service, Don retired in 1977. He had a natural gift for working with wood and metal. Don could build or fix just about anything, even building the family cottage on 7 Island Lake in Harrison Hills. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his niece, Joyce Fehl of Wausau, nephew, Don Muetzel of Wausau, grandnieces and grandnephews.
