Donald was born November 29th 1939, the son of the late John and Kathryn (Heller) Krolikowski, in Wausau. He was honorably discharged after proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. Donald enjoyed gardening, Sudoko, woodworking, and was an excellent cabinet maker. He was always willing to share his harvest with family and neighbors.
On January 11th 2014, Donald E. Krolikowski, 74, Rib Mountain, died surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with throat cancer, at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
Donald is survived by his three children, Donald, Jr. and his son, Robbert, Steven (Amy) and their children, Zackery and Kayla, and Lisa (Scott) Marshall and their children, Kortney and Jacob; two sisters, Kathy (Al) Autio and Delores Bartelt; sister-in-law, Geraldine Krolikowski; Godchild, Ann Goetsch; Stephanie, the mother of his children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and James Krolikowski; and brother-in-law, George Bartelt.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, January 14th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Full military honors provided by the V.F.W. Burns Post, No. 388, Wausau. Family will receive guests on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 2 p.m. until the service. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Wausau, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Oley Foundation or St. Clare's Ministries Foundation.
