Donald Stewart

Donald W. Stewart, 75, of Mosinee passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at North Central Health Care, Wausau.
He was born October 30, 1935 in Pattonsburg, MO to the late Orville and Hazel (Walker) Stewart. On September 16, 1961, Don married Barbara Winter in Wausau. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Don and Barbara raised their family in Kansas City, KS where Don drove truck for Yellow Freight. He retired after 34 years of service. In his younger years, Don enjoyed gardening, waterskiing, hunting, fishing and traveling. He loved taking care of his home and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Mosinee, two sons, Gary (Beth) of Malvern OH, Jeff (LeAnn) of Osawatomie, KS, two daughters, Donna Thomas of Barberton, OH, and Melanie Stewart of Lawrence, KS, six grandchildren, Cody (Nicole), Michael, Shawn, Nathan, Alex, and Wesley, four great-grandchildren, Chiara, Nolan, Nico, and Calen, sister-in-law, Carol Stewart of St. Charles, MO, brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bob (Faye) Winter, Terry (Karen) Winter, and Jay (Yvonne "Bunny") Mokry, all of Wausau, and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville "Red", and Robert.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mosinee. Reverend Frank Connor will officiate. Visitation will be today from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
