Doris Schoenherr

Doris Henrietta Schoenherr, 90, of Wausau, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, at North Central Health Care – Evergreen Place. She was born on November 16, 1924, in Schofield, to the late Carl and Ida (Zank) Plank. Doris married William Schoenherr on June 30, 1962, in Wausau.

Doris worked as a revenue accountant for GTE Corporation and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She loved and cared for her black poodle, Falon. Doris enjoyed reading, going for walks, and getting together with "the girls" for dinner or playing Pinochle and Sheepshead.

She is survived by cousins, nieces, and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Carl and Ida; and brother, David Plank.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr., Wausau, with Rev. Bruce Lamont officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas.
