Doris Seehafer

June 5, 1925 — January 27, 2012

Doris Erna Seehafer, age 86, Wausau, formerly of Rib Falls Township, Marathon County, went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 27th 2012, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Doris was born June 5th 1925, in the town of Rib Falls, to the late Paul and Lydia (Fellbaum) Graveen. She was united in marriage to Leonhard J. Seehafer, at Salem Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg, on October 24th 1942. They had celebrated 65 years of marriage before his death on March 22nd 2008.

Doris was a life-long resident of Rib Falls Township, where she and Leonhard farmed side-by-side until their retirement. She could sew anything from quilts to dresses or suits to coats. Nothing was too great of a challenge for her when it came to sewing. Besides her family and crafts, she enjoyed flowers and traveling throughout the years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rib Falls, where she had belonged to the Ladies' Aid until recent years. She was still an active member of the Rib Falls HCE and a charter member of the Pommerscher Verein Central Wisconsin.

Daniel (Denise) Seehafer, Christine (John) Luedtke, Lynda (Victor) Smith, Robin (Deb) Hoff, Renea (Zak Kania) Hoff, Jolene (Michael) Arrowood, and Michelle and Christopher Seehafer; 9 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Seehafer, Ethan and Zachary Luedtke, Eric and Kytaira Smith, Robert A.
