Dorothy J. Davis, 76, Wausau, died April 30, 2010, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
She was born September 1, 1933, in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of the late Albert and Aliza Green. On August 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard E. Davis, Sr., in Kansas City, KS, where they lived until 1967, when they moved to the Wausau area. Dorothy worked at Wausau Insurance for 20 years, as an insurance underwriter.
Dorothy is survived by her family including her husband, Richard, Wausau; 2 children, Victoria Lynn Davis, Milwaukee, and Richard (Julie) Davis, Jr., Wausau; 4 grandchildren, Rachel Davis, Robyn Davis, Duane Kniess, and Terry Kniess; 1 great-granddaughter, Cassandra Kniess; 6 siblings, Christine Robinson, Fall City, NE, Jennifer (Stephen) Chrisman, Sahuarita, AZ, Jeannie (Hoyte) Mitchell, Chandler, AZ, Carolanne (Darol) Ladd, Garden City, MO, Sandra (Vincent) Minor, Chandler, AZ, and Vernon (Sherri) Green, Lee’s Summit, MO; and other family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Albert Green and Gloria Winningham; and grandson, Shane.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 5th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Family will receive guests Tuesday, May 4th from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home; and again the day of the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
