Dorothy Fischer

Dorothy Fischer, 83, of Mosinee passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born January 30, 1930 to the late Charles and Bertha (Bauch) Oberklamer. Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Marathon High School and later achieved her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. On February 17, 1951, Dorothy married Robert C. Fisher in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1991. In her earlier years, Dorothy worked at the Marathon County Public Library and the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. Dorothy had a kind gentle spirit with a wonderful playfulness she loved sharing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters, Charmaigne (Bruce) Conover of Peshtigo, Sharon (Truman) Tornow of Wausau, Jane (Tim) Pike of Wausau, Tina (Arnold) Randl of Mosinee, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C., her son, Robert J., three sisters and two brothers.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Reverend David Faulkner will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
