Earl Klinner

October 28, 1929 — March 20, 2011

Earl was born October 28, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Albert and Caroline Klinner-Dufeck. He graduated from Denmark High School and continued his education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he returned home and advanced his studies at DeVry College, in Chicago.

In 1953, he was united in marriage to Vivian Runge, of Shawano. Together they moved to Wausau, where he worked at WSAU television as an electronics technician. He was a member of the Schofield Lions' Club, where he was a past-president; and also the V.F.W., in Schofield. Earl and Vivian canvassed the Weston area to recruit members and were founding members of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Earl was an avid fisherman, hunter, and Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States.

On Sunday, March 20, 2011, Earl R. Klinner entered his eternal life, at his home.

Earl is survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Tamara Klinner; 2 grandchildren, Haley and Jordan; and son-in-law, Arnie Baumann.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Baumann, in 2003.

A celebration of Earl's life will be at noon, Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. The Reverend Ray Connor and Reverend Lance Hoelscher will officiate. Full military honors will be provided by V.F.W. Mosinee Memorial Post #8733. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, from 10:00 a.m., until the service.
