Easton Michael Shryne was born April 12, 1989 in Seattle, WA and passed away Monday, August 2, 2011.
Easton was an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by many. He was an incredible and aspiring artist who left behind an immense collection of work, much of which was donated to a number of charitable causes. His art is what defined him.
For those who knew him, they could describe him as a gentle soul with a tender heart and a unique, extremely intuitive sense of humor. He was the kind of person who could have a serious discussion and the next minute make anyone in the room cry with laughter. He spent time with his friends and cousins traveling and listening to music, shooting pool, riding his bike, creating art and just enjoying time with family and friends. He had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica and spent the last month in New York with his cousin Kristi, where he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing an original Picasso painting at a New York museum.
He recently started up a new business with his cousin Kristi, using his creative abilities designing clothing and creating t-shirt designs. He recently opened an art studio to continue creating art and pursuing his dream.
He attended the University of Marathon County Campus with a major in art. He is survived by his mother Mary McCarthy, father Stephen (Kathryn) Shryne, Colombus, OH, sister Taylor Shryne, Wausau, half-sister Erin Shryne, Olympia, WA., half-brother John Shryne, Juneau, AK, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by brother Elliot, maternal grandparents Tom and Judy McCarthy, and paternal grandparents Lillian and John Shryne.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Highland Community Church, Wausau. Pastor Ken Moberg will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and last until the time of services at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a fund to be established in Easton's memory at a later date.
