Ednamae Barbara Parsch, 94, entered her eternal home on August 1, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau. She was born August 22, 1922 the daughter of the Rev. Andrew S. and Edna Mae (Kraklow) Lucas at Hurley WI. She grew up in the Ironwood-Laurium MI area and graduated from the Calumet MI high school. On May 20, 1941 she was united in marriage with Norman W. Parsch of Wausau. The couple then lived together for 71 plus years in the Wausau area.
Ednamae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked side by side with Norman on their Guernsey dairy farm and was a wonderful cook, gardener, and seamstress. She was an accomplished musician serving as church organist for many years and as a soloist for many special occasions. She and Norman enjoyed traveling extensively throughout Europe, Canada and the United States.
Ednamae is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman, on September 8, 2012, and by one great granddaughter.
She will be deeply missed by her three children: Barbara (Rev. Arleigh) Lutz, Wausau; Darlene (Jerry) Bongers, Appleton; Dr. Lucas (Janet) Parsch, Fayetteville AR; three grandchildren: John (Jeanne) Lutz, Eau Claire; Lisa (Aaron) Beyer, Menasha; and Laurie (Rev. Todd McVey) Lutz, Madison; by six great grandchildren, two great greatgrandchildren, three step grandchildren and three step great greatgrandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Esther Tapper, La Mesa CA; two brothers: Andrew (Gwen) Lucas, Yuma AZ, Nathanael Lucas, La Mesa CA, and by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at the Helke Funeral Home on Friday, August 4 from 4-6 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, County Highway Z, Wausau on Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Stransky officiating. Visitation prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
