Edward C. Williams, 79, of Wausau, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at his home in Wausau.
He was born July 21, 1936, in Hilliard, OH, son of the late Jesse R. and Lucy (Morris) Williams. He received his education in Ohio where he graduated high school. He received a degree in Business Accounting. On April 11, 1959, he was united in marriage to Emma Haubner, in Dieheim, Germany.
Edward began his career for two years in the National Guard before entering the United States Army, serving his country from 1954-1976, and in Vietnam from 1966-1967.
After his military career he became employed by the United States Post Office until his retirement.
Ed enjoyed spending time at their cottage up north, and loved to fish crappies off his pontoon. He also enjoyed walking, birdwatching, watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Emma, a son Edward H. a grandson Joshua all of Wausau, two half sisters, Mary (Myron) State and Jeanne (Jeff) Kelly, a half-brother Bill (Debbie) Williams, all of Hilliard, OH and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
