Elaine enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, yard work, cooking and baking (spending much of her later years cooking and baking for family and friends). She spent much of her free time, watching Milwaukee Brewers games, Nascar races and listening to politics.

She is preceded in death by three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. Reverend Steven Gjerde will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM and last until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home and resume at 9:30 AM on Thursday at the church.
