Eleanor Johanna Eggebrecht, 92, died Thursday, February 05, 2009 at Sylvan Crossing on Evergreen.
Eleanor Ballerstein was born September 22, 1916 in the Town of Wein to the late Gustav and Alice (Eggebrecht) Ballerstein.
Eleanor married Robert Eggebrecht on June 10, 1939 in the Town of Wein. To this union was born three children, Donald, Shirley, and Dale. Eleanor and Robert shared 68 years together until Robert’s passing on May 15, 2007.
Eleanor was a member of the Ladies Aid, Young at Heart, and the Quilting for World Relief groups at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. She was a talented seamstress and crafted many drapes for different organizations in Wausau.
Survivors include three children, Donald (Linda) Eggebrecht of Green Bay, Shirley (Ervin) Murkowski of Wausau, and Dale (Susan) Eggebrecht of Wausau; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Krueger of Madison, AL.
Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands, Viola (Clarence) Hamann, Milda (Royal) Hamann; and her brother, Clarence Ballerstein,
