Eleanor (Mootz) Nass, formerly of Wausau and Merrill, passed away on March 9, 2010 in Mission Viejo, Calif.
Eleanor was born June 4, 1919 in the town of Maine, to the late John and Dorothea (Peterson) Mootz. She married Ervin Nass on October 26, 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in the town of Maine. Eleanor was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters; Joyce Donnelly of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA., and Patricia (Bill) Burger of Glenbrook, NV., one son-in-law Richard Plautz of Merrill, 6 grandchildren; Debbie (Steve) Andress of Mission Viejo, CA., Craig (Christine) Burger of Campbell, CA., Brian (Heidi) Burger of Folsom, CA., Jeff (Kim) Plautz of Birnamwood, WI., Tim (Geralyn) Plautz of Wausau, and Laura (Kerry) Sutherland of Apple Valley, Minn., 19 great grandchildren; Katie and Stephanie Andress, Andrew, Matthew and Dibora Burger, Tyler, Mackenna and A.J. Burger, Jared and Amber Plautz, Noah and Rachael Plautz, and Jared, Jeremy, Justin, Trever, Trent, Chad and Erin Sutherland and one brother; John “Jack” (Lillian) Mootz of Schofield.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Nass, daughter Betty Plautz and two brothers Roland and Lawrence Mootz.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday March 23, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart Ave., Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
