Eleanore Klemm, 94, Wausau, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Hospice House in Wausau under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
Eleanore Lillian Sarah Thiele was born March 21, 1914 in Milwaukee to the late John and Lillie (Busack) Thiele. She married Norman C. Klemm June 16, 1934 in Wausau and the couple spent fifty-nine wonderful years together prior to his passing in 1993.
Nothing delighted Eleanore more than being surrounded by children and especially babies. She would always light up when a child entered the room. Eleanore was also a very good gardener and loved picking berries. In the 1960’s she began working at the Labor Temple in the kitchen and remained there until the 1980’s, leaving when she was in her 70’s.
Eleanore is survived by her daughters: Donna Mae Klemm of Milwaukee and Nancy (Tom) Hoerter of Cambridge; daughter-in-law, Marlene Klemm of Wausau; grandchildren, John (Amanda) Klemm of Wausau, James (Tracy) Klemm of Wausau, Joel (Amanda) Klemm of Omaha, NE, Dustin (Amy) Hoerter of Breckenridge, CO, Bradley Hoerter of Breckenridge, CO, Shannon Klemm of Brandon, and Chelsea Klemm of Baraboo; great-grandchildren, Jaxin Hoerter of Breckenridge, CO, Alexander Klemm of Omaha, NE, and Clayton DeChamps of Wausau; special family friend, Shari Bauer of Milwaukee, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her sons, Donald and Paul; brother, Frank Thiele and sister, Lillian Kasten.
